Daniel B. Pitchford, M.A., Ph.D. Candidate, is a clinician in the San Francisco Bay Area who specializes in the treatment of traumatic stress. For over the past 10 years, Daniel has worked closely with combat veterans and other displaced populations. He has written and lectured on topics surrounding the fundamentals of existential practice, trauma (with special focus on cultural implications of traumatic stress and healing), and the fundamental intricacies of whole-person living. Daniel currently holds a Master's Degree in Counseling, and is a Ph.D. Candidate at Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center in San Francisco, California. His dissertation study examines the implications of using an existential-integrative therapeutic approach to address the traumatic stress experiences of combat veterans. Daniel is also the recipient of the 2008 Rollo May Scholarship Award.
